... BACK TO PART 1
PERFECT RESIZE 7
© onOne
You can enlarge your photos in Photoshop, but soon you’ll begin to notice a deterioration in quality. This package allows you to create your photo to enlarge to 10 times through Perfect Resize. I personally would not go that far but double or even multiply by 4 in size is perfectly doable. So if you want to print the picture of a 36 million pixel camera (like the new Nikon D800) on a giant poster (100dpi), you can generate a printout of more than 13x18 meters. You can also combine the enlargement / reduction step with a crop into one step. In the system, there are many standard photo sizes available for your crop. In this latest version 7, there are 2 new features: "Gallery wrap" & "Tiling & Batch". The Gallery wrap basically means that when you want to make a canvas yourself, you’ll need to have some extra inches printed to cover the edges. This is done automatically in the software. Do you want to print a large format poster on a large amount of small sheets, the software will split them so you can manually paste them together afterwards. This is definitely my favorite application.
PHOTO FRAME 4.6

The frame-application is a nice application if you love artistic borders around your photos. The library contains about 1600 different borders. Next to the a license it also gives you access to go online and download all the new edges that are available each month / quarter. So unless you only like a classic black or white border around your photos, this application can be an extra artistic added value. I use this application in the preparation of wallpapers and / or slideshows.
FOCAL POINT 2

The latest application of the package "Focal Point" is the most artistic of the series. Do you want to add more focus on a specific part of the image or get the rest of the image out of focus, this program is wonderful. By using the scroll bars and the brush tools you can add or remove sharpness. Also there are some current lenses integrated in the system, but this library is in my opinion still very limited. Should this be extended in the future, then this application can become a great tool for really artistic pictures.
ONONE UNIVERSITY
Finally, I would like to mention that the onOne packages always have very strong learning curves. You can take a good start, but to really get the maximum out of it, it is useful to learn from other photographers or developers. Around this point of view, onOne created "onOne University". Concretely, it means that you now have access to about 255 tutorials with step-by-step explanation. Very handy!
PRICE
Then all about the prices such a package. Initially you would perhaps not consider to buy the whole package, but the complete suite will soon be cheaper than 3 separate applications. The whole suite will be charged at $299,95 (228 €). Each package costs $99,95 (76 €) with the exception for Perfect Layers $69,95 (53 €) and Perfect Resize $199,95 (152 €). So if you want for example buy Perfect Portrait and Perfect Resize, you get the full suite with the rest of the applications as good as free! (All prices in Euro - € are indicative!)
CONCLUSION
The Perfect Photo Suite 6 is the most recent collection of seven different packages of the software manufactor onOne: Perfect Effects 3 (formerly known as "PhotoTools") to add photographic effects, Perfect Portrait 1 is the latest package for editing portraits , Perfect Mask 5 for adding a mask, Perfect Layers 2 for adding the ability to work with layers in Lightroom, Perfect Resize 7 for enhancing your photos, PhotoFrame 4.6 for adding a frame around your photos and Finally, Focal Point 2 for adding a depth to your photos. Each package can be used as a plug-in, but with this version you also have the opportunity to run all applications within the same window which is very handy. Furthermore all packages are sold separately, but you have to realize that the entire suite is often the best and cheapest purchase.
Finally, I want to thank onOne for providing this package. If you are interested in their packages, just take a look on their website.
Best regards,
