Under the pretext “that something doesn’t have to be complicated to be good”, BlueLounge searched for a solution to a worldwide problem, namely the problem of a bunch of cables falling down behind your desk.
CableDrop is a package of 6 simple, rubber holders that prevent cables dropping down behind your desk. Moreover, they have been developed to resist a pulling or pushing cable. Removing or adding a cable becomes so simple!
BlueLounge foresees that the CableDrop can be put where the computer, laptop, external hard disk or any other equipment has been installed. The test was done on different types of cables. The CableDrop has the power of keeping a few thin USB cables together or a thick DVI cable. Unfortunately a cable of an Apple 30° Cinema Display doesn’t fit into this drop, which doesn’t at all mean that the CableDrop couldn’t be useful.
After receiving the package, several CableDrops have been installed, for instance for the cable of an iPhone, an external hard disk and a card reader. Even at the backside of an iMac, a CableDrop has been installed in order to have different cables combined as one leaving the desk.

During the trial period of nearly a month, no problems occurred. Not one cable came out of the CableDrop and no reduction on track could be found.
Tips:
When you put the holder on a surface, please make sure that you have the drain of the holder in the same direction, otherwise the power could become to heavy and could cause the CableDrop coming off.

The only minus point of this invention is perhaps the color choice. BlueLounge decided to produce the CableDrops in 6 different colors divided into 2 groups, i.e. grey, dark grey and orange or purple, green and yellow. In one package you will find 2 pieces of each group. Personally, I do not like the purple, green or yellow and I would also have preferred to be able to purchase drops of the same color, for instance grey.
But, as you only pay 10 Euro (shipping costs included), I think this is a very good solution with a funny look for a very disturbing problem!
